The Opentrons NGS Workstation is an open-source liquid handling system that automates sample and library prep, reagent distribution, bead processing, and general biochemical and genomic transfers in your NGS and PCR applications.
This workstation automates protocols and workflows using any leading reagent or magnetic bead-based system in the market with accuracy and precision at the fraction of the cost.

Sample processing & library preparation
DNA and/or RNA extraction, this also includes QC and normalization steps.
Library preparation
This can be a variety of steps such as PCS, fragmentation, ligation, tagmentation, quantification, quantitation, QC, normalization, and pooling.
Wash
Wash off impurities with a wash &/or strip buffer. Process until the protein of interest is released.
Analysis
The data coming off a sequencer is analyzed to reveal the results.
